Privacy Policy

How UK Money Explained handles your data: what we collect, why, cookies we use, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

UK Money Explained (“we”, “us”) operates ukmoneyexplained.com. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

Analytics data. We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful. This includes pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and visit duration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or identifying information unless you contact us directly.

Advertising data. Where advertising is shown, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings and Your Online Choices.

We process analytics data on the basis of legitimate interest (understanding how the site is used so we can improve it). Advertising cookies are set only where you consent, via the consent notice shown on your first visit.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ukmoneyexplained.com. We respond within one month.

Retention

Analytics data is retained in aggregate form only. We do not maintain profiles of individual visitors.
