Disclosure
How UK Money Explained is funded: advertising and affiliate relationships, and our editorial independence.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
UK Money Explained is a free, independent resource. To keep it running we earn revenue through advertising and, where relevant, affiliate partnerships. This page explains how that works — and how it does not affect our content.
Advertising
Where ads are shown, they are served by third-party networks (such as Google AdSense). Ads are:
- Labelled as advertisements;
- Selected by the ad network, not by us;
- Not endorsements by UK Money Explained.
Affiliate links
Some links to products or services may be affiliate links. If you click one and take an action (for example, open an account or buy a product), we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships may include financial products and services relevant to UK consumers.
Where a link is an affiliate link and it is practical to mark it, we do. Otherwise, this page is our standing disclosure.
Editorial independence
Revenue does not decide what we write or how we rate anything:
- Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input on article topics, conclusions, or rankings;
- They cannot review or approve content before publication;
- They cannot suppress negative coverage.
We only recommend products and services we believe are genuinely useful, based on research and publicly available information.
Not financial advice
Nothing on UK Money Explained constitutes financial advice. Content is general information for educational purposes. Your circumstances are unique — seek qualified advice (for example, from an FCA-authorised adviser) before making financial decisions. See also our Editorial Policy.
